Michelle Fan is a junior at Rutgers University – New Brunswick and Douglass College. She is majoring in Cultural Anthropology and minoring in Gender and Media Studies. Before interning at the Center for Women’s Global Leadership, she served as the Head Residential Teaching Assistant for the International Leadership for Social Impact program at the University of Pennsylvania. She is currently enrolled in the two-year certificate program at the Institute for Women’s Leadership, focusing on the intersection between human rights and law. Her research interests center around cultural heritage preservation and genocide, particularly the gendered aspect of genocide. Her area of focus is Central Asia and East Asia.
