Michelle Adames-Sucameli, Grants Facilitator, has several years’ experience working development at both national and international NGO’s, including the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants as well as America Abroad Media. Prior to her time at CWGL, Michelle worked in Amman, Jordan, supporting refugee education and women’s rights in Wadi al Seer and Jabal al Qalaa through United Nations’ capacity-building projects in the region. Michelle has written several articles against human trafficking/modern slavery and continues to be interested in exploring the rights of stateless populations during post-conflict reconstruction.
Michelle earned her Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in Political Science from Rutgers University-Newark. She is currently a Masters of Arts Candidate at Rutgers University’s UN and Global Policy Studies program where her work compares the intersections of political violence, conflict resolution and human rights in the MENA and Latin America.
